That is what I keep thinking to myself every time I leave my house. Yes, life can be a stretch and yet we live in a world where we are afforded so much. Living in the United States is a blessing beyond measure. Here we have opportunities in abundance and the only barrier is you yourself. I have not visited or lived in any other country where there are so many helpful people and organizations helping you achieve your goals. I tend to get really upset when I hear people say that we do not have any culture here. How wrong this is! We have a culture of including and tolerating people.
In my native Germany, where I was born and raised, I would have been primarily gauged by my family members and the schooling and education papers. Here you have the freedom to aim high and achieve just about anything you would like – you just have to want it and pursue it ferociously. Collaborate with people, make friends and you will truly not be alone and thus reach your full potential.
You have to start though. It is like wanting to win big and never buying a ticket to the lottery.
